We’ve partnered with the UK’s biggest grassroots football fundraiser, Prostate United, for its annual October fundraising campaign in aid of Prostate Cancer UK.

FanHub is supporting Prostate Cancer UK with a team in the 2024 Prostate United challenge – which we’re now calling on our 130,000+ users across the UK to join.

To coincide with the launch of 2024 Prostate United on 1st October, we’ll also be revealing a special Challenge within the FanHub app, with extra giveaways and prizes for those taking part.

One user who completes the Challenge within the FanHub app and raises the most within the FanHub Prostate United team will be invited to a special ‘play on the pitch’ experience at a Championship stadium in summer 2025 as a thank you for their efforts.

Members who complete the Check In for Prostate United Challenge on the FanHub app (check in at a stadium twice in October to complete it!) will also be entered into a weekly FanHub x Prostate United giveaway.

The FanHub HQ team have already signed up and are now asking you, loyal FanHub users, to join our Prostate United team and help save men’s lives!

Prostate United is the biggest grassroots football fundraiser in the UK and it was set up in 2018, by Stephen Gilpin and Ross Burbeary, two fitness coaches working in the EFL at Rotherham United.  In six years, the campaign has raised over £500,000 to help Prostate Cancer UK stop men dying from prostate cancer. The aim for this season is to double that amount and hit the magical £1 million mark.

Seren Evans, Head of Events and Community Fundraising at Prostate Cancer UK, said: “We’re incredibly grateful for the fantastic fundraising Prostate United has achieved since the challenge began in 2018.

“FanHub and everyone involved in the challenge have created something special within their clubs and local communities, and as a charity we’re excited to see how it continues to grow in 2024.

“One man dies from prostate cancer every 45 minutes, but thanks to the generosity of FanHub and everyone involved in Prostate United and all of our incredible supporters, we’re able to invest into research into saving men’s lives and improving the lives of men with the disease.”

Users of the FanHub app are encouraged to sign up to walk, run or cycle every day in October and raise money to save men’s lives. Prostate cancer kills one man every 45 minutes – that’s a dad, brother, partner or best mate every half a football match.

Collectively, team FanHub are aiming to raise in excess of £5,000 for the charity throughout October.
