The 100 club!

Alright, football fans! We’re rapidly approaching the end of the season, and everything’s finally beginning to really look on the up. Just a few more weeks to go!

Here’s this week’s update from FanHub HQ.

The 100 club!

Portsmouth fans at notts county!!! - YouTube

It’s fair to say that we’ve been blown away by the support for the app since its release a few weeks ago!

After having hit the 1000 registered users mark not soon after going live, we then last weekend went one further with 2000. Great to see so many fans getting stuck in!

A special congrats to Bristol Rovers, MK Dons, Gillingham, Portsmouth, Birmingham City, Lincoln City, Hull City and Sunderland, all of whom having become the first clubs to break that 100 registered users mark!

Not far behind them, though, are Crewe Alexandra, Rotherham United, Swindon Town and Stoke City – all also set to break into the elusive 100 club over the coming week.

Dale fans raise £10,000 for Cloughie

Rochdale AFC: Controlled explosion on suspicious package - BBC News

Last summer, the footballing world was saddened to learn of the passing of superfan David Clough.

Clough, an avid Rochdale fan, was of course well-known for being an ever-present at Dale games – but, more importantly, he was a fundraising genius for the Greater Manchester club.

Over the course of his lifetime, it’s estimated David raised somewhere in the region of £500,000 for his football club. An incredible achievement, and a real dedication to being the beating heart of his community.

Dedicated to remembering David’s legacy, Dale fans have since used a JustGiving page to raise £10,000 over recent months towards retiring Clough’s seat and replacing it with a statue.

The page had initially started with a goal of £2500 – but, as always happens when great football fans come together, it vastly surpassed that, eventually amassing an incredible £10,230!

Excellent work, Dale fans!

Hull the biggest in Yorkshire?

Once again, there’s been a big shuffle at the head of the pack – congrats to Birmingham City fan tomeo, Hull City fan tigerboy12, and Gills fan patchgfc for finishing in this week’s top three!

Last week, we thought Gillingham had blown it after having had all seven top spots the week before – but how wrong we were! The Kent club have once again come up trumps, with four of the top ten being Gills supporters. Massive.

Hull City are the other club well-represented at the top with four in the leading 25. The biggest team in Yorkshire, maybe? ?

Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday fans may disagree – but they’re nowhere to be seen at the top of the table!

Thanks for giving this week’s newsletter a read! We hope you’re still loving the app and comfortably sitting above your local rivals’ fans.

If you’ve been enjoying FanHub, make sure to leave us a review on the app store here – let’s show the corporates what football fans can achieve together!

And, of course, be sure to keep an eye out for next week’s update. Until then, stay safe, football fans!
